In addition to Butler's acting credits, she is also an accomplished

writer, director, and producer. She and her sister Abbi Butler run a production

company called LIVING STONES PICTURES. The name comes from 1 Peter 2:5, 

which says, "And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual

temple...you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God."

 

Stefanie is a screenwriter, an aspiring children's book author, a short story writer

(@storytimewithstefanie) and a blogger (@courage_braveheart). The past few years

she has written countless short films, features, pitches, pilots, and she hopes to

eventually publish her memoir, in hopes of helping others who might find themselves

in similar circumstances.

 

Stefanie's favorite genre is any period piece with an accent and a strong female protagonist,

which means she would die to work on shows like Outlander, Vikings or any project where she gets to shoot a gun from horseback. Butler's first written feature, The Silent Queen, was completed in 2014 and is a historical fiction depicting an Irish queen, kidnapped by Vikings and forced into a seemingly impossible decision. It is loosely based on actual events from her Icelandic heritage.

In addition to writing, Stefanie has also recently stepped into a new role behind the camera as a director. She truly is an actor's director who has a unique ability to connect with and communicate with her actors because she speaks their language. And although she still has much to learn, she's more than up for the challenge.

Stefanie's short film, SAME, which she co-wrote, co-directed and starred in, won 2nd place at the Christian Worldview Film Festival in 2018 for best short. Stefanie wrapped production on her 3rd short film, A CHANCE ENCOUNTER in the fall of 2022. It was a part of the festival circuit in 2o23-2024 and was an official selection at the 43st Paladino d'oro SFF which was held in Sicily, Italy.
